The Competition of American Idol

Thanks for the article from Robin Woodard
The best competition show on TV is American Idol. I wasn’t sure if I was going to enjoy the show without Simon, because I always liked his nastiness. However, I am enjoying Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez more than I expected. Steven has been so funny about people that have really nice voices. He often joins in singing with them.
I was a little up in the air about watching it this year, but now I’m glad I did and I don’t think I’ll be missing an episode now. I haven’t picked anyone yet to root for. However, there are a few that I have my eye on.
Randy has been consistent and I have always liked his comments. He’s only occasionally mean to the contestants and usually has pretty constructive criticism. Steven has been a little too nice I expect that he’ll toughen up on them though, if he comes back for additional seasons. Jennifer started off nice, but she’s getting tougher already.
Ryan Seacrest is there to interview people after they audition and I have to admire his patience. Many strange people pick him up or hug him and his accepts this with good humor.
I always watch American Idol on mtv from DirectStarTv.com. With my DVR system I can set the show to record continuously and that way I never miss it.
