When I was a kid, my grandfather initiated a little game with me, to help me work on my spelling. We’d write letters to each other back and forth, and we’d get one cent for every spelling error caught. So, he’d write me a letter and if I caught anyspelling errors, I’d circle them and send the letter back to him. With his next letter, he’d send me the change I had earned. He’d do the same with my letters, and I’d have to send him some change. For some reason, I loved doing this with him, and I always felt so clever when I caught a spelling error he had made. And of course, I didn’t want to have to pay him any money, so it made me work on my spelling, and look up words I wasn’t sure of. Now that I am a grandfather, I tried to start the same thing with my grandson, but he told me that now a days, people don’t really write letters, and he’d rather email with me. I’ve got to go to http://www.satellitestarinternet.com to set up an internet account so I can email with him.
